We Study, Discuss, Inspired, and Compelled

GRACE Talks will explore faith as a medium through which we interpret, discuss, and translate our experiences at home, work, and in our community. What challenges do we face as parents, spouses, employees, and community members, etc. What are Christian ways to respond responsibly and with integrity to these challenges? We not only gain new knowledge and insights but also share our struggles in a safe environment.

We Invite, Inspire, and Encourage

GRACE Talks is Grace UMC’s public lecture series where the whole community is invited to participate, to get to know one another, to learn from experts and professionals, and to reflect upon the faith’s impact on our own life experiences. For those who are working, we provide a light supper at 6:30 pm. The event concludes at 8:00 pm.

Synopsis:
What if the unexpected happens to you? Are you ready for your last day administratively as well as spiritually? This free presentation will guide you from how to write a will to how to set up a trust and distribute funds. In addition, the Q & A session will answer so many other questions you may have on this issue.

Speaker Bio:

Dora C. Lepe has been in the cemetery and funeral business for 9 years since she lost her 21 year old daughter to leukemia. She thinks the best way to honor her daughter everyday is to teach people the importance of pre-planning for their final wishes.

“It was an interesting and rewarding evening,”
- Bob Park

Blessed is the one . . . whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.
— Psalm 1:1-3
